The 1990 CBR400RR (NC29) was a major rework, with a frame designed around the engine, a low centre of gravity and a curved 'gull-arm' swingarm. Testers liked its smooth, progressive gear-cam engine, quick steering and quality finish, but found the rear shock too soft for heavier riders.
